Judge Andrew D. Logan is a lifelong resident of Trumbull County and resides in Gustavus Township, Ohio. Judge Logan graduated from The Ohio State University in 1972 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. Judge Logan attended Capital University Law School, receiving his Juris Doctorate degree in 1979. He was admitted to the practice of law that same year by the Supreme Court of Ohio. The Judge is also admitted to the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.
Judge Logan was previously engaged as a private practitioner from 1979 through 1995 and represented a myriad of clients in a multitude of legal areas. From 1980 through 1994, he served as Special Counsel for the State of Ohio, Office of the Attorney General. He served as Acting Judge for the Trumbull County Central and Eastern District Courts between 1987 to 1990. Judge Logan was first elected to the bench for the Central District Court where he served from 1990 through 1994.
In 1995, Judge Logan continued his judicial service when he was elected to the Trumbull County Common Pleas Court, General Division bench. Since 1996, Judge Logan has served as the Administrative Judge for the General Division.
Judge Logan founded and has continuously presided over the specialized criminal docket known as the Trumbull County Drug Court. In 2013, Judge Logan established the Trumbull County Drug Court in an effort to coordinate and integrate substance abuse treatment and other related services for low-level felony offenders with drug dependency issues. Judge Logan recognized that through the Trumbull County Drug Court, the community would be better served by allowing such participation in an effort to reduce substance abuse, crime and recidivism.
Judge Logan maintains memberships in the Ohio State Bar Association, the Trumbull County Bar Association, the Ohio Judicial Conference (Civil Law and Procedure Committee), the Ohio Common Pleas Judges Association and the Community Corrections Board.
